Play day in the white stuff

It finally happened - it snowed when I was home!  That meant a great play time with the dogs.

The first time I let them out in the white stuff they went crazy.  It was wonderful to watch them them play like brothers together.

And here's the yard once they were done :)

Our first class

Mr Mav and I had our first conformation class last night.  I have never been to a conformation class before so I wasn't sure what to expect - it was interesting.

He was pretty excited at first, but calmed down nicely.  He did well with all of the distractions - all in all I was a pretty proud mamma.

Auntie Linda came to support us (and take incriminating photos) and it was really nice to have her there.

The training with Mr Mav's fondling coach sure came in handy - he had no problem being checked out by the instructor.

Once an agility gal, always an agility gal.  For some reason, I was the only one with a duck shoved down her pants - but there was no way I was going to make Mr Mav work for a hour straight without any play breaks.

Auntie Nicki made yummy waffles this morning.  Just playing some Its Yer Choice with the boys and a yummy waffle.

I'm ready for Pretty Boy class!

Tonight is Mr Mav's first conformation class!  Pretty exciting!

This afternoon when I got home from work, I let the boys outside and they decided it was a prefect day for a little doggy smackdown in the back yard.

They had a great time and I loved watching every minute of it!  Yes, I want to put titles on my dog and earn the pretty ribbons, but seeing them play so well together makes everything else seem irrelevant.

Once they were done, I could help but laugh at how dirty they were.  Made me laugh even harder thinking that Mr Mav has his first pretty boy class tonight...lol!  He looked priceless!

Tonight Auntie Nicki is staying over.  The last time Nicki stayed here was when I brought Mr Mav home.  I wonder if she will even recognize him :)  I am very thankful to Nicki - if it wasn't for her, Mr Mav wouldn't be in my life right now.  And I am going to be very thankful to her tomorrow morning after she makes me gluten free waffles with her homemade maple syrup - YUMMY!

Never Say Never - more than a Justin Bieber song

Well - never say never!  Mr Mav and I are signed up for our first set of conformation classes starting Friday.

Last Saturday Mr Mav met his half sister Asia and her mom Miranne and her friend Patty (another Dal owner).  They helped us get a nice stacked photo of Mr Mav and gave me some pointers for conformation. Most importantly, I found out that Patty teaches conformation classes and said that she could even teach me!

Don't worry - I have someone coming to class with me so we'll have photos!

If the judge likes legs, we'll win for sure :)  Mr Mav is all legs right now.

Pam is awesome!

A few years ago I was introduced to Pam Earl.  She is not only one of the nicest people you could ever meet - she is also an amazing artist.

She did a painting of Cinder a while back and it was time to get one done of Mr Mav as a puppy.
